The much-anticipated trailer of the film Mr and Mrs Mahi has finally been unveiled, exciting fans of Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor. Set to hit the big screens on May 31, 2024, this film has garnered attention not only for its star cast but also for a surprising revelation at the end of the trailer. In a delightful treat for cricket enthusiasts, the makers of Mr and Mrs Mahi have included a unique cameo featuring none other than the legendary cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni himself. While Dhoni doesn't directly appear in the trailer, an oversized image of him is prominently displayed on a wall at Rajkummar's store. This artistic homage to Dhoni's legacy not only pays tribute to the Indian cricket icon but also establishes a strong connection between the film and its cricket-inspired storyline. Alongside Dhoni, the wall also showcases other cricket luminaries like Sachin Tendulkar, Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul, Smriti Mandhana, and Dinesh Karthik. The trailer of "Mr and Mrs Mahi" opens with Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor's characters meeting and embarking on their journey towards marriage. Interestingly, both characters share the name 'Mahi' in the film. Their common love for cricket is another aspect that binds them together. However, as the trailer progresses, it becomes apparent that Rajkummar's character's passion for cricket seems to overshadow his love for Janhvi's character.
Apart from Rajkummar Rao and Janhvi Kapoor, the film also features a talented ensemble cast including Abhishek Banerjee, Rajesh Sharma, Kumud Mishra, Zarina Wahab, and Purnendu Bhattacharya in prominent roles. The shooting for "Mr and Mrs Mahi" wrapped up on May 01, 2024. Directed by Sharan Sharma, known for his debut film "Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl," starring Janhvi Kapoor, this film is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar with support from Karan Johar and Apoorva Mehta of Dharma Productions. This marks the second collaboration between Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao after their successful stint in the 2021 horror thriller "Roohi."
